The Iowa State Patrol says an elk found dead near Council Bluffs likely died after being hit by a vehicle. This was on Interstate 80 in Pottawattamie County. There was no vehicle at the scene. The State Patrol shared this photo on X, and say it’s a reminder to always stay alert while driving.
