Ivica Zubac’s defensive dominance – A statistical breakdown

One of the most underrated talents on the Clippers roster, Ivica Zubac, has been a dominant force on both ends of the court. In his six seasons with the team, the Croatian star has averaged 10.0 PPG, 8.4 RPG, and 1.1 BPG on an efficiency of 62.8% from the field.

Known for his defensive prowess, the 27-year-old’s ability to defend at the rim is one-of-a-kind, placing him above the likes of Joel Embiid, Anthony Davis, and Rudy Gobert. Zubac’s physicality, coupled with his agility, acts as a shield for the LAC.

Zubac ranked first in DFG% among all centers in the 2023-24 season, holding his opponents to 49.6% from the field, making things difficult for them, especially when driving towards the basket. Blessed with a 7-foot-4 wingspan, the Clippers center is the ultimate defensive weapon.
