Dillon Gabriel’s odds of winning the Heisman Trophy took a slight hit following Saturday’s slate of college football games.
Despite racking up 301 total yards and three touchdowns in a 34-13 win at UCLA, the transfer quarterback’s odds fell from +1200 to +1600 on Saturday night, FanDuel Sportsbook reported, due to standout performances from other favorites.
Before Gabriel and the Ducks dismantled the Bruins, Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe — who was already listed ahead of Gabriel in Heisman odds entering Saturday — picked up a season-defining win over Georgia while recording 374 passing yards, 117 rushing yards and four total touchdowns. The Crimson Tide junior is now listed as the Heisman favorite at +210.
Meanwhile, Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter also made a statement on Saturday, boldly striking a Heisman pose after a highlight interception during the Buffaloes’ 48-21 win over UCF.
Hunter ultimately recorded nine catches for 89 yards and a touchdown, along with two solo tackles and an interception in the win, leapfrogging Gabriel to +750 in Heisman odds, trailing only Milroe and Miami quarterback Cam Ward.
