According to a new report by WSOC-TV, a racing company based in NC will be closing its doors – and 300+ workers will be laid off. According to the report, Kannapolis-based Stewart-Haas racing will be closing its doors for good.
In May, the company said that it planned to “close its NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series teams at the end of the 2024 season”. The layoffs will begin on November ll, 2024, and will affect up to 323 workers.
The racing company has had it rough over the last few years and has not scored a win since August 2022.
