Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love finally made his much-awaited return to action on Sunday. After missing two games due to a knee injury, Love started for the Packers in a home game against Sam Darnold and the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4.
Just like many other Packers fans, Fox Sports reporter Erin Andrews was excited about Love’s comeback but what also caught her attention about the QB was the homage he paid to legendary NFL gunslinger Brett Favre.
“Love it,” Andrews captioned an Instagram Story post that showed the Packers signal-caller wearing a Brett Favre jersey ahead of the Vikings game.
Favre recently announced that he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Although he has been embroiled in legal controversy of late due to alleged welfare fraud, Favre has gotten plenty of support as he wages a battle against the degenerative brain disease.
Love and the Packers, however, failed to overcome the Vikings at Favre’s old stomping grounds. Green Bay trailed the Vikings by as many as 21 points and not even a 22-point outburst in the fourth quarter could help Green Bay prevent a 31-29 loss.
