CARY, N.C. (WGHP) — The largest buffet restaurant chain in the country started in North Carolina. The first Golden Corral opened 51 years ago in Fayetteville, and over the decades grew to more than 350 restaurants from coast to coast.
The headquarters remains in our state along with the test kitchen for any new items that appear on their massive buffet.
