MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is now in custody after a shooting that left a woman dead turned into a police chase in South Memphis on Sunday night.
A little after 10:50 p.m., officers say they responded to a shooting call at a shopping center on 1387 Elvis Presley Boulevard. A woman was found suffering from a gunshot wound.
Police say the shooting call then turned into a police chase that ended in the 3500 block of Millbranch Road. The driver was taken into custody at that time.
The woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition where she later died.
