Seafood joint featured on ‘Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives’ to open in Stillwater

A Minnesota couple is bringing an iconic Florida Keys seafood joint to the Twin Cities this fall.

DJ’s Clam Shack, famously located on Duval Street in Key West, is set to open mid-October in downtown Stillwater next to No Neck Tony’s bar.

Stillwater couple Tony Misenor and Jessica Junker, who co-own No Neck Tony’s, are behind the chain’s arrival in Minnesota.

Junker and Misenor, who split their time between the Florida Keys – where Junker grew up – and Stillwater, are among the seafood joint’s regular customers.

“We’ve been going there for many, many years,” Junker said. “It’s just always kind of been one of our favorite spots.”

DJ’s Clam Shack, founded in 2009 and featured on the Food Network’s “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” , currently has three locations in Florida and four in New York.

Stillwater customers can expect the new location to emulate the laid-back atmosphere the spot is famous for on the island.

The menu will focus on New England-style, cold water seafood favorites such as Maine lobster rolls with warm butter, conch and, of course, tender steamed clams.
