Vote for the Press-Citizen’s Student of the Week

The Iowa City Press-Citizen Student of the Week is back for another round of voting.

Principals and faculty in Johnson County nominate high school students each week.

The public can vote at press-citizen.com through noon on Thursday, Oct. 3. The winner will be announced on Friday, Oct. 4, and an accompanying story will be published in the Press-Citizen.

Students from public and private high schools in Johnson County are eligible.

The most recent Student of the Week was Tyler Schepanski, a senior at Liberty High School.

Here are this week’s nominees:

Caitlyn Bell, Iowa City Regina Catholic High School

Caitlyn Bell is a junior at Iowa City Regina Catholic High School. Bell is a dual sport athlete in both cross country and volleyball while maintaining a heavy courseload of five Advanced Placement courses. Additionally, Bell helps lead Regina’s Interact Club and Book Club. She is also involved with Dance Marathon, Blue Crew, I’m Glad You Stayed, and the National Honor Society. Bell attended the Congress of Future Medical Leaders in Boston this past summer and logged more than 100 hours volunteering at the Food Bank and serving lunches at Neighborhood Centers of Johnson County.
