Final day for Greene County seniors to apply for tax credit

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Today is the deadline for Greene County senior citizens to apply for a tax credit.

According to the Greene County Collector’s website, the credit allows qualified taxpayers to lock down their real estate taxes and freeze their bill for future years.

Sept. 30 is the deadline for applications to be submitted. A copy of a government-issued ID must be submitted for each applicant, along with a copy of the warranty or quit claim deed for the property. Deeds of trust and deeds of release are not accepted documents.
