Semitruck carrying soap rolls over on I-70 closing off-ramp

DENVER ( KDVR ) — The Colorado State Patrol is investigating a semi rollover on an off-ramp from Interstate 70 to eastbound C-470.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, at 9:40 a.m. a semitruck carrying containers of liquid soap rolled over. When troopers arrived they noticed the truck was leaking engine fluid and dish soap. It is unclear how much of the load was spilled.

The sheriff’s office said the driver was taken to a local hospital, but they did not provide any further details on injuries. No other vehicles were involved in the rollover.

The Exit 260A ramp to westbound C-470 is closed , according to the Colorado Department of Transportation. Westbound C-470 and westbound I-70 are open. It may take some time for crews to clean up the truck and the soap, so drivers are asked to find a detour.

It is unclear what caused the crash, but CSP is investigating.
