IT issue impacting Texas Tech HSC clinic, classroom operations

This story has been updated with new information.

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center has issued an alert to the campus community about an ongoing IT issue it anticipates will impact TTUHSC operations.

According to the university’s StatAlert! system, TTUHSC is “currently working through an IT issue. Until further notice, team members and students will not be able to access TTUHSC electronic resources.”

The university also noted that on Monday, Sept. 30, there will be limited clinical operations and no calls at TTUHSC locations, with TTUHSC releasing more information in the future.

This is the second medical entity in Lubbock to face IT issues impacting its operations. University Medical Center —the partner hospital of TTUHSC —has been dealing with a ransomware attack since Thursday of last week.
