SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Salt Lake foodies are being given a reason to rejoice this morning as Salt Lake City has been named one of the top food cities for your wallet in the United States. According to WalletHub, Salt Lake City lands at number 33 on the list of over 180 cities.
Topping off the list were Miami, San Francisco, and Orlando. Portland and Tampa finish off the top five.

“To determine the best and cheapest local foodie scenes, WalletHub compared 182 cities — including the 150 most populated U.S. cities, plus at least two of the most populated cities in each state — across two key dimensions, ‘Affordability’ and ‘Diversity, Accessibility & Quality.’” the release from WalletHub said.

The metrics WalletHub looked at ranged from the cost of groceries to the average ranking of restaurants on Yelp’s “Top 100 Places to Eat in the U.S.” list.
