A man was shot to death Monday morning in Compton.

The shooting was reported at 12:09 a.m. in the 1500 block of North Wilmington Avenue, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Tracy Koerner told City News Service.
The man was rushed by ambulance to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, said Koerner.
