Albuquerque shelter pets get cozy for fall at Comfort for Critters event

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – While cooler temperatures may still be off in the distance for Albuquerque, some local pups are now prepared for the future fall chill. Albuquerque’s Animal Welfare Department held its second annual Comfort for Critters event for shelter pets.

The New Mexico Finance Authority donated blankets to the shelters for the cause. The blankets help provide comfort to the dogs who are waiting to be adopted.

Animal Welfare says one of the dogs, named Cheerio, found her forever family at the distribution event and was able to take her comfort blanket with her to her new home.
