GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -Nearly $2.5 million in HAVA Grants are headed to 42 counties across Colorado. The Help America Vote Act of 2002 established a program to provide federal funds to states to upgrade voting systems and equipment for federal elections. Since its inception, more than $4 billion in HAVA Grants have been given out.
