Hundreds of Mobile dockworkers set to go on strike

MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) – Dockworkers are prepared to walk off the job at midnight, kicking off a massive strike that could shut down ports across the East coast and Gulf Coast. The International Longshoremen’s Association could stop operations at 14 port authorities, including the Alabama Port Authority. Combined those ports handle more than half of the goods shipped into the county and 70% of U.S. exports.
