Rochester man sentenced for gun, fentanyl

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A Rochester man was sentenced to ten years in prison Monday after prosecutors said police found a gun and drugs in his car.

Jaomi Delgado, 31, was arrested in May 2022. Prosecutors said he had been under investigation for months when police saw a handgun in his car in a Norton Street restaurant parking lot. Police took him into custody when he left the restaurant and searched his car, finding the loaded gun, 60 fentanyl pills, four cell phones, and nearly $18,000 in cash.

Delgado was sentenced to possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
