Deion Sanders has heartfelt moment with disabled UCF student reporter

Colorado’s head coach Deion Sanders has guided his team to a 4-1 record with its only loss being to the Nebraska Cornhuskers on September 7.

After their landslide victory against UCF on September 28 of 48-21 , Sanders made a comment to a UCF student reporter — it was not only encouraging, it was downright heartwarming.

Sanders chatted with Andrew Cherico , a student journalist for the Sidelines Sports Network . Coach Prime relates to Cherico’s hardship of growing up with a disability by speaking from his own experience. Sanders has eight toes, having lost two to blood clots.

“But first and foremost, I’m proud of you. For your resilience and what you go through on a daily basis,” Sanders said to Cherico during the press conference .

“I was in a chair at one point with these toes being amputated and I know what you deal with on a daily basis. I had to change my whole bathroom and put rails so I can get on the darn toilet,” Sanders added.
