COPPELL, Texas – The Coppell Police Department celebrated the retirement of Derwood Scott, a dedicated employee of 37 years, last Friday. Scott, who most recently served as Terminal Agency Coordinator, has a long history of public service. Before joining the City of Coppell, he was a volunteer firefighter for two years. His career at the department saw him work under nine police chiefs and witness numerous new employees come and go, according to a press release from the Coppell Police Department.
