According to an eyewitness, there was police activity in the area before the crash. A police cruiser had pulled out of a driveway and collided with a pickup truck, the witness told FOX31.

FOX31 was live from the scene shortly after the crash was reported.

The Aurora Police Department said that officers were heading to a scene with their lights on, but were traveling through a parking lot at the time, leading to the collision.

There were two officers inside the police cruiser, and both were transported with minor injuries. The civilian truck had three people inside, two adults and one juvenile. An adult and the juvenile were transported with minor injuries.

The area is where residential and business zones collide, west of South Havana Street near Babi Yar Park.
