GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Four members of GRU’s Water/Wastewater Department headed to Steinhatchee this morning to assist with restoration efforts following Hurricane Helene. The four-person crew from GRU’s water distribution team will help restore and repair the city’s water system.
GRU lost power at several lift stations during Hurricane Helene but reacted quickly to prevent customer and environmental impacts. We are proud of our crews’ efforts to serve our community and those around us in need.
