AT&T waives charges in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene

ALACHUA COUNTY, FLa. – In response to Hurricane Helene, AT&T has been working swiftly to restore network services while waiving overage charges for unlimited talk, text, and data for wireless customers in affected areas, including Gainesville, from September 27, 2024, through October 27, 2024.

Additionally, for our residential and business wireline customers in Alachua County and other areas impacted by Hurricane Helene, AT&T is waiving various charges, including installation fees at temporary or new permanent locations, wiring fees for jacks, and activation and monthly rates for specific call forwarding and messaging services for orders placed through October 27, 2024.

Wireless:

To further assist our customers impacted by Hurricane Helene, AT&T is waiving overage charges for unlimited talk, text, and data for AT&T Postpaid & Prepaid customers with billing addresses in zip codes across the affected areas. This initiative is effective from September 27, 2024, through October 27, 2024. While customers in these areas may still receive usage alerts during this period, their accounts will reflect the credits and/or waived data, voice, and text charges.
