Nevada Contractors Board revokes 4 licenses, issues fines of more than $730,000

LAS VEGAS ( KLAS ) — A contractor for kitchen and bath remodeling was one of four companies that had their licenses revoked Tuesday by the Nevada Contractors Board.

Five complaints filed against Las Vegas Kitchen and Bath Remodeling LLC came from locations all around the valley. Four were from homeowners who had hired the company for projects costing from $6,700 to $104,000, and one was from a flooring company that is still owed $280,000 on about 57 projects, according to documents from the board.

Las Vegas Kitchen and Bath Remodeling was fined $370,000 in the case, $10,000 per violation listed in the complaint. Dennis Lawrence Caruso, Paul Orkin, Wes Clark and Tom Perks were found liable by administrative law judge Richard F. Scotti, and prohibited from serving as an officer, director, associate or partner for a Nevada contractor in the future. Scotti recommended that the board refer the case to the Clark County District Attorney’s Office.
