Federal charges upgraded against Escambia County deputy, could face life in prison

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Ala. (WPMI) – A now former Escambia County, Alabama Deputy charged with civil rights violations against a female arrestee, could now face life in prison. Superseding information was filed Tuesday by the United States Attorneys office, adding that that the charge of Deprivation of Rights under the Color of Law involved Sexual Misconduct, increase in the penalty from 10 years to up to life.
