“It’s just a matter of time before something really bad happens,” Cary Cooper, a resident, said.

Cooper said one bear broke through his fence Monday and let itself into his yard.

“I came out the back door and low and behold there was the bear, and he came out and came back through the same way he came in through this broken fence, and I had no idea there was a large bear in my backyard,” Cooper explained.

“Now that he’s gotten inside my backyard, I thought I was safe back there, and like I said, now I’m not believing that I’m safe anymore,” Cooper said.
