The Iowa City Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in the investigation of an assault that occurred Monday evening in the West High School parking lot. The victim, a high school-aged female, reported that a dark-skinned male in jeans and a dark-colored hoodie approached her from behind and assaulted her at 6:55 pm, according to a Tuesday press release.
