Crew member pleads guilty to Harrisburg, other jewelry store armed robberies in multi-state crime spree; DOJ

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — A man who was part of a crew that committed jewelry store armed robberies across multiple states, including one in Harrisburg, was sentenced Tuesday.

Timothy Conrad, 34, of Washington D.C., was sentenced in U.S. District Court to spend 14 years in federal prison for partaking in the multi-state robbery spree, the Department of Justice announced. Following, he will spend 48 months of supervised release.

Conrad, aka “Twin,” was part of a 16-member crew that was allegedly led by Trevor Wright, aka rapper “Taliban Glizzy,” that robbed South Asian jewelry stores, according to the DOJ.

Baral Jewelers and Gift Center in Harrisburg was one of the stores that was robbed in November 2022. About $1 million in gold was stolen from the store.

Other stores that were robbed included Sara Jewelry in Jersey City, New Jersey, Chintamanis Inc. in Franklin Park, New Jersey, and Jolie Jewelry in Washington, D.C. Around $650,000 in gold was taken from those stores as well, the DOJ said.
