SCHOOLCRAFT, Mich. – A Schoolcraft man was charged Tuesday in connection to the murder of his neighbor, according to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office. Eric Newman, 45, was arraigned on charges of open murder and felony firearms following a dispute he had with his neighbor, Ronald Erickson, 53, who was shot to death on Sunday, deputies said.
