Lakeland Linder to hold October auction to get rid of some abandoned restaurant property

From tongs to industrial gas-fired ovens, Lakeland Linder International Airport will be auctioning off over 140 items left behind from its prior restaurant tenants.

The auction will be hosted by Lakeland-based Kincaid Auction Reality LLC at 10 a.m. on Oct. 14 in the airport’s terminal, 3900 Don Emerson Drive. It is the final step in the months-long legal process of evicting Waco Kitchen from the airport.

Waco Kitchen, operated by Dimor Eats LLC, announced it was suddenly suspending all operations in April . The announcement came shortly after business negotiations broke down between Dimor Eats and a Florida-based subsidiary of a German aircraft manufacturer.

Now, all of the items purchased by Waco Kitchen to operation the restaurant from plastic silverware to industrial ovens will be put up in an on-site, oral bid auction. There is no minimum bid, Airport Director Kris Hallstrand said, all fixtures and equipment not physically attached to the building will be sold to the highest bidder.
