A standoff in Lake County concluded early yesterday after a nearly five-hour negotiation between law enforcement and a 63-year-old man who reportedly shot a woman, subsequently identified as his wife. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident at a Painesville Township residence, where the suspect, Jeffry Wyman, ultimately surrendered to authorities.
