Travis Kelce’s 2-Word Description of Rashee Rice Injury Says It All

The reigning Super Bowl-champion Kansas City Chiefs suffered a brutal injury loss during Sunday’s Week 4 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.

During the first quarter of this AFC West matchup, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw an interception to Chargers cornerback Kristian Fulton. While trying to make a tackle on the sideline, Mahomes collided with the knee of Kansas City wide receiver Rashee Rice.

Rice, the Chiefs’ leading wide receiver option, was carted off the field. The team is still waiting on conclusive results for Rice’s injury, but is preparing for the worst.

This injury loss leaves a massive hole in the Chiefs’ receiving corps. During the most recent episode of the New Heights podcast, Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce described the loss as a “huge dagger” for his team.

β€œI just love the way that guy was playing the game of football, how he was attacking every single day in practice, sometimes you just root so hard for the guys that do it the right way and Rashee had been doing that, man,” Kelce said. β€œIt was a huge dagger to me when I saw him go down.”
