Fan Favorite Chandler Restaurant Closes

Sometimes the closure of a favorite restaurant can blindside you. The announcement might come out of nowhere, despite perceived success and a continual flow of tourists. There are just so many behind-the-scenes activities it’s impossible to fully know what is going on. For one local Chandler restaurant, the rather sudden closure after four successful years has left many patrons wondering what happened. And yet, despite the closure, the owners are hoping to make a comeback in the near future. 

On September 7, Thaily’s Restaurant announced on its Facebook page that it had made a “very difficult decision to temporarily close.” The temporary remark is in hopes of a speedy return to another location though, as it will not re-open at its former address of 444 East Chandler Blvd. 

The restaurant itself provided Greater Phoenix with truly unique flavors, as it offered a hybrid of Cambodian and Arabic food. Without many other similar options found in the Valley, Thaily’s Restaurant stood out in a crowded pack of copy-and-paste restaurants and the trendy industry spots designed not to make food but to make money.
