Virginia Task Force Seizes Weapons, Cash and Thousands of Pills

CULPEPER, Va. – The Blue Ridge Narcotics and Gang Task Force concluded a three-month investigation that targeted a multi-jurisdiction crime ring.

According to an emailed media release from Virginia State Police (VSP) Sergeant Brent W. Coffey, officers executed search warrants at private residences throughout Culpeper and Prince William counties on September 26 and 27, 2024.

As a result of the operation, 2857 grams (approximately 25,000 pills) of Fentanyl were seized. Also recovered were two handguns, a rifle, and $26,363 in U.S. currency. One of the handguns was reported stolen out of Manassas.

According to the VSP release, Task Force officers arrested a male subject identified as Stewart Lewis Skinner III, and charged him with maintaining a fortified drug house, possession with intent to distribute a schedule I/II controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance while in possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm, and possession of an automatic firearm.
