Union City sweeps BIg 8 Cross Country Jamborees

QUINCY – The whole of the Big 8 Conference traveled to the grounds of Quincy High School on Tuesday for what was supposed to be the second Big 8 Cross Country Jamboree of the season.

Inclement weather last week at Bronson had other plans for the schedule, however, so the big hill at Quincy High School proved to be the barometer for the Big 8 Conference as all eight teams faced off for the first time this season.

The day belonged to the Union City cross country program as the Chargers swept the top spot in both the boys’ and girls’ events, while Bronson finished a close second in both events.
