MS-13 Associate Sentenced for Luring Victims to Fatal Attack

In Long Island, Leniz Escobar, known as "La Diablita," has been sentenced to 50 years in prison for her role in the brutal 2017 murder of four young men by MS-13 gang members.

Escobar lured the victims, aged 16-20, to a park, where they were ambushed by gang members wielding machetes, knives, and axes. Four were killed, and one managed to escape.

Prosecutors allege that the victims were targeted because they were perceived as rival gang members. Escobar, who admitted to her involvement, boasted about the attack to other MS-13 members.

U.S. Attorney Breon Peace condemned Escobar’s actions, saying she "demonstrated her allegiance" to the gang by luring the victims to their deaths.

Over a dozen MS-13 members and associates have been charged in connection with the attack. Escobar’s sentencing marks the fifth conviction in the case.
