CLEVELAND (WJW) – Visitors to downtown Cleveland may have noticed the 10-foot statue of a colorful pup on Euclid Avenue recently.

The four-foot, named Scruffy, sits outside Dogtopia, a doggie daycare preparing for its grand opening on Monday, Oct. 28.

The new location at 784 Euclid Avenue offers about 6,000 square feet of play area, according to a press release, and is one of more than 260 Dogtopia daycares in the United States.

Ahead of the grand opening, Dogtopia is inviting the community to take photos with Scruffy and post them to Facebook or Instagram with the tag #ScruffyCLE for a chance to win six months of free daycare.

Scruffy, made at Unique Rabbit Studios in Miami, is designed with a map of Cleveland on his side. Company officials say residents can expect the pup statue to be dressed up for Browns, Guardians and Cavaliers games in the future.
