CLOVIS, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – The man who was killed while riding his bike two weeks ago in Clovis has been named by the city’s police department.
Clovis Police say on Sept. 18, a man was riding a bike near Clovis Avenue and Saginaw Avenue, south of Ashlan Avenue, at around 1 p.m. Officers say a van traveling north on Clovis Avenue collided with him as he crossed the road.
The crash left the bicyclist with critical injuries and he passed away on Sept. 30. On Wednesday, the Fresno County Coroner’s Office named the victim as 63-year-old Robby Pokorny of Fresno.
According to police, the van driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
Clovis Police say the cause of the crash is under investigation.
