BARRY COUNTY, MI — A Barry County judge’s ruling that a murderer have no contact with the outside world while serving life in prison has been invalidated. Barry County Circuit Judge Michael Schipper in June 2022, during sentencing for Andrew John-Lawrence Lafey, said the man should “not have any contact with anyone outside the prison until the day he dies.”
