Metro mother recovering after being attacked by neighbor’s dogs

OKLAHOMA CITY ( KFOR ) — A metro mother is recovering after she said her neighbor’s dogs attacked her.

Melina Bush said she was heading to her daughter’s house in late September, when she was suddenly surrounded by a pack of dogs.

“I’m just like, ‘please help me, please help me. Ya’ll come get yall’s dogs,’” said Bush. “I started running backwards and I swung a metal cup at them and that’s when they started to attack me. It was like five or six of them pit bulls.”

Bush said it felt like forever had passed before the dog’s owner was finally able to get them off of her.

“I just didn’t have no strength. So I started blocking my face so that way they would not attack my face,” said Bush. “I was shocked, scared.”

Besides the cuts and bite marks, Bush “had broken her wrist whilst fighting the dogs off her.”

“I have multiple bite wounds on my legs, the bottom of my feet and all on my thighs,” said Bush. “I’m still in a state of shock. I’m mentally disturbed.”
