Crews battle motel fire in SW Oklahoma City

Two people have been taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation after a motel fire in southwest Oklahoma City, according to the Oklahoma City Fire Department.

OKCFD says the two people were trapped on the roof of the motel and couldn’t reach the stairs due to the smoke and flames.

Two families were also evacuated from the motel but were not injured.

Firefighters believe the blaze was started by an accidental trash fire that got out of control, but the investigation is still ongoing.
