HOUSTON – A Houston Probationary Police Officer who took the oath of office in August, has been relieved of duty following his arrest, according to the department. Jonathan Torres is charged with assault of a family member and unlawful restraint. He was arrested on Tuesday, according to the Houston Police Department. The alleged crime happened while Torres was off-duty.
