Eugene police investigating fatal crash on Highway 99

EUGENE, Ore. – Eugene police are investigating a vehicle-pedestrian crash that occurred on Highway 99 on Wednesday that left a man dead. According to the Eugene Police Department, officers responded to a report of a vehicle that struck a pedestrian on Highway 99 just north of Elmira Road in the morning of October 2. Police arrived to find a vehicle pulling a trailer had struck a male pedestrian at about 10:48 a.m. that morning. Police said the pedestrian was declared deceased at the scene.
