Steak Medallions with Homemade Lemon Pepper Seasoning: Easy and Delicious!

If you haven’t ever made homemade lemon pepper seasoning you are missing out on a great spice mixture that is much better than any store bought one you can buy, in my opinion. You can taste the freshness on whatever food you are adding this too. It is delicious on steaks, chicken and fish. You will need the following ingredients:

Recipe:

1 teaspoon of black pepper

1 fresh lemon

1 1/2 teaspoons of kosher salt

1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon of ground mustard

1/4 teaspoon of sugar

1 package of trimmed steak madallions

Wash and dry the lemon and then zest it using a zester or a box grater. You should get about 1 1/2 teaspoons of the lemon zest which is about what you will need for this recipe.

Mix together the black pepper, lemon zest, salt, garlic powder, ground mustard and sugar in a small bowl and set aside.

Add the lemon pepper seasoning to both sides of the steak. Let it sit at room temperature for about 5 minutes or so.
