United Way of Central Alabama launches Hurricane Helene Relief fund

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WIAT ) — United Way of Central Alabama, in partnership with United Way Worldwide, has launched a donation site to aid victims of Hurricane Helene .

Helene left behind significant destruction and flooding across North and South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, Florida and West Virginia.

Donations collected in Alabama flown to communities devastated by Helene

“Even though this disaster struck beyond Central Alabama, United Way and our donors have a long history of helping communities in crisis,” said Drew Langloh, President and CEO of UWCA. “With the devastation of Hurricane Helene, we are dedicated to mobilizing resources to help individuals and families in their recovery.”
