Three accused of breaking into cars in East Limestone, arrested

LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. ( WHNT ) — Three people were arrested after being accused of breaking into cars in Limestone County.

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO), said that they have received multiple reports of car break-ins going on in East Limestone on Monday morning.

After deputies and investigators started to search the area for suspects, a captain noticed a vehicle associated with the suspects leaving Landview Lane around 12:40 p.m.

Once the vehicle passed, deputies confirmed that the driver who has been identified as Xavier Marquise Mason, had an active arrest warrant.

After trying to pull Mason over, deputies said that he did not yield. Mason then did a U-turn on Pepper Road and headed back south head-on with authorities.

LCSO said that Mason avoided a collision by going into a driveway to go around another patrol vehicle and then drove south at a high rate of speed.
