NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO ) — Officers with the New Orleans Police Department are investigating a shooting in New Orleans East on Thursday, Oct. 3.
The NOPD reported that shots were fired toward an officer who was responding to a service call in the 7000 block of Lawrence Road.

NOPD officials said no injuries have been reported at this time.
