Chiefs Want Handout From Raiders in Davante Adams Trade: Report

The Las Vegas Raiders are searching for the best possible option to trade Davante Adams this season. Their AFC West rival would be a good fit for the All-Pro receiver, but they have a big ask before a trade can be completed.

Wide receiver was an issue on the 2023 Kansas City Chiefs roster. The team’s drop rate was the highest in the league. The Chiefs added veteran pass catcher Marquise Brown and rookie Xavier Worthy in the offseason to improve the unit.

Unfortunately for Kansas City, Brown is expected to miss months as he recovers from surgery for a sternoclavicular injury he suffered in the Chiefs’ first preseason game . Second-year receiver Rashee Rice sustained a knee injury in Week 4, and there are fears he could miss the rest of the season.

The Chiefs, battling for a Super Bowl three-peat, are in prime position to make an aggressive move for wide receiver help at the trade deadline, especially with tight end Travis Kelce having a slow start to the season.

According to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, the Chiefs are interested in Adams but not for his current market price.
