Hillsborough County Public Schools announces hurricane make-up days

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Hillsborough County Public Schools announced adjustments to the calendar to make up for instructional days lost to Hurricane Helene.

Monday, October 14 and Monday, January 6 will now be full school days.

The following Mondays will be converted from an early release to a full day of school:

  • October 21
  • October 28
  • November 4
  • November 18
  • December 2
  • December 9
  • December 16

“We appreciate the community’s understanding and flexibility as we work to provide the best educational experience for our students,” school officials said.
