The first full weekend in October has an entirely different meaning at MacQueen Orchards in Holland.
For over 40 years, the farm has hosted its annual Apple Butter Festival on that weekend, inviting guests to pick their own apples and pumpkins, find their way through a corn maze, and of course indulge in homemade apple butter and cider.
Families have been known to travel from parts of Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana to spend their weekend in Holland at MacQueen’s.
On Saturday and Sunday, patrons can enjoy activities like barrel train rides, face painting, sand art, a petting zoo, and more.
